I love Greek Yogurt! Especially because of living a vigorous life style of a Zumba Fitness Instructor, teaching as many as 5-7 classes a week and burning up to as much as 1000 calories a class! I eat as much and as many of these things as I can. Greek yogurt is a great source of protein especially after a workout. The protein goes straight to your muscles! Eating directly after a hard workout is so important for muscles to recover. Muscle, which is made of the protein building blocks called amino acids need more protein to heal and repair itself therefore helping you to recover faster. Greek yogurt is thicker in consistency then regular yogurts because the liquid whey is strained from the fermenting milk and live bacteria cultures. It is an excellent source of calcium and extra protein while its live bacteria cultures aid in good digestion. Oh, ah, and 0 fat grams! For those of you who take my Zumba Fitness classes know i always yell before you leave the dance flo', "DON'T FORGET TO EAT!!" no matter how late we get out of class—even if it's not greek yogurt, eat something!—RECOVER!
