Honey as Anti-aging or Acne Facial Mask?
Yes that’s right a skin care regime would not be complete without honey and some skin care products on the market use honey in their formulas. For thousands of years, honey has been known for its powerful antiseptic, antioxidant and cleansing properties for your overall health and skin beauty. Applying honey directly onto pimples is also an effective healing treatment.
Honey is beneficial in the healing of cuts – just a very small amount is usually all that is required to put on a cut to speed up healing and help prevent infection. If honey can aid healing of a cut then imagine what it can do for damaged skin overall!
To make a mask, you can simply apply a small amount of water to make the honey slightly more liquid and apply to the face. Leave to dry for 20 mins then wash off thoroughly. This is very cleansing and healing to problem skin and many have reported to its usefulness in treating acne and scarring.
Another trick is to mix 1 tablespoon of honey to 1 egg yolk and leave on your skin for 20 minutes or, you can add to this mix 1 teaspoon of yogurt (cultured and organic) and or half teaspoon of any good quality oil such as coconut oil to the honey and egg . Mix well and apply a thin layer over your skin and rest for 20 mins. Wash thoroughly. Ensure you only use raw honey.

HARVEST HONEY SUGA' SCRUB
This is my personal blend of facial scrub that I make only with the raw honey that I harvest from the raw beeswax shavings that I hand-filter and use in my lotion bar products. It is the best raw honey and contains the natural propolis from the beehive giving it that much more wonderously organic nutrient filled qualities. I simply mix a half teaspoon of this liquid gold from the gods with a few grains of raw sugar, I pre-moisten my face with warm warm and then apply with my fingertips and massage gently in circular motions, trying to get the areas on my face that need more exfoliating- like around the lips and chin area. The grains of the turbinado sugar (Sugar In The Raw) are quite coarse and large, so you only need a few granules as you do not want to cause abrasion to the surface of your delicate facial skin. Massage in until the sugar grains melts away and the honey is left to aborb slowly! Rinse with warm water and always pat your skin dry—NEVER WIPE IT! Finish with a raw carrier oil moisturizer like Extra Raw Virgin Coconut Oil with essential oils!
